Our story

Meet Lizzy

Lizzy’s Bakehouse started the way a lot of good things do, with a jar of sourdough starter named Doughzilla™ on the kitchen counter and a house that always smelled like fresh bread. What began as loaves for family and neighbors turned into something people kept asking for, so the little stand out front was born.

Everything is made by hand in small batches, most of it built on a long, slow ferment that gives the bread its flavor and that open, chewy crumb. No shortcuts and no mystery ingredients. Just organic, high-quality flour, water, salt, time, and the occasional pat of good butter.

The stand sits in Circle G Ranches here in Gilbert, and part of the fun is getting to know the regulars. Buying bread from a neighbor beats a grocery shelf every time, and we are glad you found us.

Have you met Doughzilla?

She is our sourdough starter, the temperamental little culture behind every loaf, and she has a whole story of her own.
